What is Mindset?
Mindset is a mental attitude. It colours the lens through which you see the world as well as how you perceive and respond to events. Studying mindset allows you to challenge beliefs you hold about yourself and your abilities. When we challenge those beliefs we can directly impact our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
What is Self Compassion?
Self Compassion is the act of showing up for yourself, in your suffering, the same way you would for a dear friend. Compassion takes you out of the fight or flight response relaxing your brain and encouraging cognitive flexibility. This creates the opportunity for you to learn from your mistakes and allow the emotions you are experiencing to pass.

Andrea Gibson is a self-compassion and mindset coach, dance educator, and mental health advocate. She is the creator and founder of UNCONDITIONAL the self-love movement where she helps women reconnect to their wants & needs inspiring them to enjoy life again and live intentionally. Through spiritual and self-care practices she guides her clients in rebuilding a relationship with their soul.
As a leader in the dance community, with over 30 years of experience, she has created the Mindset Movement program. It is her mission to help dancers understand their own magic and how to tap into it. Whether through studio workshops or one on one coaching Andrea focuses on building each child’s inner champion while creating mindset tools for both in and outside the studio. Her hope is to inspire change within the dance industry by sharing her own personal mental health struggles as well as triumphs with authenticity, vulnerability, and humour. She is certified through the International Dance Teaching Standards Level 1 & 2 and received her Adjudicator certification from Canadian Dance Leadership in 2022.
The mission of UNCONDITIONAL is simple, to help educate people on the power of loving themselves and accepting all aspects of their humanness. Her own personal journey with perfectionism and people pleasing led Andrea to do a deep dive into her internal programming. By doing the work to change her inner voice she created a life with purpose and joy as well as an unshakeable connection with her soul. She loves to learn and prides herself on her continual education. She has completed many hours of training including the Self-Compassion Core Skills training with Kristen Neff and Chris Germer as well as Bob Proctor’s Thinking Into Results Mindset Program.
